The Nutcracker

Westside Ballet of Santa Monica brings the magic of its 53rd annual production of The Nutcracker to The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage, ushering in the holiday season over Thanksgiving weekend. Since 1973, Southern California’s longest-running Nutcracker has delighted generations of families with its timeless story, featuring Westside Ballet students performing alongside internationally acclaimed guest artists.

From the festive Victorian party and thrilling Battle of the Mice to the sparkling Land of Snow and enchanting Kingdom of Sweets, audiences are transported into a world of holiday wonder. With breathtaking choreography, stunning sets and costumes, and exceptional performances, this cherished production remains one of Southern California’s most beloved holiday traditions. 

The Spring Showcase and Gala

May 6 – May 9

Each spring, Westside Ballet presents its Annual Spring Showcase at the Eli and Edythe Broad Stage, celebrating the artistry and achievements of its students through a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary works. The performance showcases the Academy’s exceptional training while providing invaluable stage experience.

The Showcase is complemented by Westside Ballet’s Gala, which brings together alumni, patrons, artists, and community supporters to celebrate the organization’s legacy and raise funds for scholarships, community outreach programs like Dance to Dreams, and the educational and performance initiatives that advance Westside Ballet’s nonprofit mission.
