ACADEMY
A comprehensive classical ballet education for students ages 3 through pre-professional, built on a progressive curriculum, exceptional faculty, and a tradition of artistic excellence. Students develop strong technical foundations, artistry, discipline, and confidence in a supportive environment to achieve their highest potential in the art of classical ballet.
OPEN ADULT CLASSES
Open ballet classes for adults of every experience level, from complete beginners to former professionals, in an inspiring and inclusive atmosphere. Whether dancing for fitness, personal enrichment, or continued training, students enjoy expert instruction in a welcoming community that celebrates the joy of movement.

Westside Ballet of Santa Monica is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through dance by providing exceptional performance opportunities and expanding access to ballet through scholarships, community outreach, and affordable public performances.
Legacy
Founded in 1967 by Yvonne Mounsey of New York City Ballet and Rosemary Valaire of The Royal Ballet, Westside School of Ballet has been one of Los Angeles’ premier institutions for classical ballet training for six decades.
Today, Westside continues to honor its founders’ vision by providing exceptional training in a supportive community where dancers of all ages are inspired to reach their highest potential—both on stage and beyond.
