Every ticket purchased helps further our mission of making high-quality dance training and performance opportunities accessible to young dancers.
The Nutcracker
Since 1973, Westside Ballet’s The Nutcracker has been the longest-running Nutcracker production in the City of Santa Monica and a cherished holiday tradition for generations of families.
Featuring professional guest artists alongside Westside Ballet students, this lavish full-length production transports audiences into a magical world of Christmas wonder. From the festive Victorian party scene to the thrilling Battle of the Mice, Clara’s journey continues through the sparkling Land of Snow before arriving in the enchanting Kingdom of Sweets.
Audiences are treated to beloved classical divertissements, including Spanish Chocolate, Arabian Coffee, Chinese Tea, Peppermint, and the Mirlitons, culminating in the breathtaking Waltz of the Flowers and the Sugar Plum Fairy’s iconic grand pas de deux.
With stunning costumes, beautiful sets, and exceptional dancing, The Nutcracker has become one of Southern California’s most treasured holiday traditions.
Annual Spring Showcase & Gala
Each spring, Westside Ballet presents its Annual Spring Showcase, celebrating the artistry and achievements of its students through a diverse repertoire of classical and contemporary works. Performed in a professional theater, the Showcase highlights the depth of the Academy’s training while providing invaluable performance experience for young dancers.
The Spring Showcase is complemented by Westside Ballet’s Gala, an evening that brings together alumni, patrons, artists, and community supporters to celebrate the organization’s legacy and invest in its future. Proceeds from the Gala support scholarships, community outreach initiatives such as Dance to Dreams, and the educational and performance programs that are central to Westside Ballet of Santa Monica’s nonprofit mission.
