Founded in 1967 by legendary dancers Yvonne Mounsey and Rosemary Valaire, Westside Ballet of Santa Monica is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to enriching lives through dance. For nearly six decades, the Foundation has provided young dancers with exceptional performance opportunities while expanding access to ballet through scholarships, community outreach, and affordable public performances.

 

By combining artistic excellence with a commitment to education and service, Westside Ballet helps young dancers develop the discipline, confidence, teamwork, and artistry that last a lifetime.

Performances

Westside Ballet presents professionally produced performances that give students invaluable stage experience while bringing exceptional ballet to the Los Angeles community. 

Scholarships

The Foundation provides scholarship opportunities that help talented students access exceptional ballet training, ensuring financial circumstances are never a barrier to artistic growth.

Community Outreach 

Through programs like Dance to Dreams, school partnerships, and complimentary and reduced-price performance tickets, Westside Ballet introduces thousands of children and families to the joy of dance while creating pathways for young artists to continue their training.
